Vintage crockery lovers will feel like they're in heaven at this aptly named store on Columbia Road. China and retro tea sets, glassware, cutlery and even a few vintage fabrics are piled high and wide on tables and dressers, while the backroom houses Cake Hole - a cute cafe serving excellent cakes and light lunches.

I visited the Cake Hole Cafe on a Sunday afternoon as the flower market of Columbia Road was finishing up. Due to the location of the cafe (hidden at the back of a vintage crockery shop), this place must be a bustling little place.

There are a number of tables decorated with an eclectic mix of vintage tableware and you sort of have to grab a seat where you can. The staff were busy and it took a while to get served. Sadly the cakes on offer had diminished to the last few slices so I opted for a scone with cream and jam.

The scone was nice - I read on their website that they were baked and brought in from Rinkoff's bakery but no notice of that indoors so i'm not sure if that is still the case.

The cafe only accepts card purchases over £10 which can be difficult to do if you're just stopping by for a cup of tea and a cake so make sure to keep cash on you when you visit.

Though it was a cold day in February, you expect to feel a little warmer inside, especially surrounded by so many people but unfortunately it was quite cold and I heard a number of other guests complaining about this too.

If you're in the area, stop by but I wouldn't suggest it's worth a dedicated trip.
