This summer pop-up retailer and little fashion school offers bargain sessions of DIY designing that will send you out of the shop with a new piece of clothing or jewellery of your own making in an hour. It’s the brainchild of London jeweller Michelle Oh, who has taken on the premises until July and filled it with her favourite makers.
As well as selling their wares, each designer will host classes sharing their craft in the no-frills basement – less a schoolroom, more a cell, but with a maximum of three students per group, and drawers stacked with tools, it’s perfectly serviceable. The timetable includes a purse-making lesson with Elizabeth Dunn (£20, including all materials and your own wonky home-made wallet); a lamp-making workshop with homeware brand Espergaerde (£30) and various ring and necklace crafting sessions with Oh.
