I thought this might be yet another useless crazy fad Londoners love. But actually I fell in love with the very concept of ChromaYoga.

Each session has its own yoga style - from meditative to Yin and Ashtanga - and its very own colour. I’m not yet sure how the colours affect you or your mood, but I’m sold on the way it helps set you up for a special kind of practice.

The colour is also quite strong, filling the room with a strange glow. It makes you feel like you enter some scared, unique place and helps you push aside all your worries and stress that might have built up during the day.

The teachers are incredibly friendly and kudo to Clara Baker who’s fantastic at keeping an eye out for struggling students to offer alternative poses.

Interesting yoga experience based on the concept of associating colour with physical states (orange for productivity, pink for relaxation e.t.c...)

We did an orange class and were taught a basic meditation sequence under the orange lights. The instructor was really lovely, making us feel really comfortable, happy to explain things and also showing us alternative poses for different skill levels!

Though we couldn't necessarily feel a difference regarding the colour concept, maybe this is something you'd have to regularly do to see an effect – though each class does come with a £15 price tag...
