Have you heard of The Hundred before? Launched in 2021, the sporting extravaganza is a spectacular combination of world-class music, entertainment and cricket with an action-packed, 100-ball competition at the centre of it all.

Bringing together the best players and biggest names from around the world, no less than eight city-based teams will compete over five weeks from July 21-August 14. There are men’s and women’s squads, with the two competitions running alongside each other in a double header format, where the women kick off the day and men play immediately afterwards. As the name suggests, each team has just 100 balls to hit the highest possible score, which means every ball counts.

It all kicks off at the Kia Oval in Kennington when five-time champions MI London – formerly known as Oval Invincibles, and the most successful team in The Hundred – face SunRisers Leeds for the debut showdown that pits both last year’s men’s and women’s champions against each other.

The Kia Oval will see a total of five The Hundred match days this summer. MI London face their cross-city rivals when London Spirit make the journey south of the river on Wednesday, July 29. Manchester Super Giants visit on Sunday, August 2 before the season finale on Saturday, August 8. The Hundred season at the Kia Oval will close out with the Eliminator (basically, the semi-final) on Friday, August 14.

But it’s not just easy-to-follow cricket. The Kia Oval’s main stage will host everything from superstar DJs to live music to entertain the crowds at every fixture. Previous headliners include Perrie, Zara Larsson, Rudimental, Bastille, Jax Jones, Mimi Webb, Raye, Becky Hill, Everything Everything and Cat Burns.

Why not make a proper day of it and book a hospitality package to really get into the spirit of this summer’s biggest event? The Hundred Club hospitality package on the Roof Terrace doesn’t just give you the best seats in the house from the fourth floor of the Kia Oval, but means you can tuck into a light lunch before the first fixture, enjoy complimentary drinks including Pimm’s throughout and a two-course buffet dinner.

Our top tip? Book now, during the Early Bird window, when you can bag tickets from just £41.50 for adults and £5 for under-16s until July 1. Run, don’t walk…
