The successor to Woolwich’s now closed Waterfront Leisure Centre, Woolwich Waves offers a state of the art gym and swimming pool. For many, though, the big draw will be its leisure pool and toddler splash zone area: there are no true water parks in London, but with its two water slides and copius fun bits for little ones, Woolwich Waves is about as close as you can get without leaving the capital. It’s also very each to get to thanks to the deal Lizzie Line – it’s just a couple of minutes from Woolwich Arsenal station.
