London 2012 champions Mo Farah, David Weir and Richard Whitehead join thousands of competitors at the inaugural Bupa Westminster Mile – a road race for those of us with one-twenty-sixth of the grit, determination and stamina of the average London Marathon runner.
Launched this year as an official Olympic Legacy event, the day-long series of races sees runners complete a one-mile circuit round the perimeter of St James’s Park, starting on The Mall and ending at Buckingham Palace. Runners of all abilities – from elite athletes and the visually impaired to wheelchair users and children – are welcome to register.
The deadline for entry is 5pm on May 7. Spectators can show up on the day.
