Expect crisp cricket whites, a prim afternoon tea and a few cheeky cocktails at this Victorian-inspired match. The Wisden XI will be taking on The Authors XI – a team of writers (including Tom Holland, Dan Stevens and Ed Smith) which takes inspiration from the original Edwardian cricket team featuring Arthur Conan Doyle and PG Wodehouse. The game has been organised to celebrate the 150th edition of 'Wisden Cricketers Almanack' as well as the publication 'The Authors XI' – a new book about the historic literary team. Spectators are encouraged to embrace Victorian fancy dress and bring a picnic blanket to lounge on. A Pimm's stall will be on hand for refreshments, and a cricket tea (with a glass of prosecco) will be served at 4.30pm. For more information, see www.bloomsburyinstitute.com.
