French company Stereoptik’s ingenious shows see an animated film crafted right in front of the audience. In ‘Antechamber’ – which comes to the Barbican as part of MimeLondon – the musician-artist duo of Romain Bermond and Jean-Baptiste Maillet combine cartoon, stop-motion, painting, object theatre and music to tell the story of a young man who reconnects with his childhood after coming across an old photograph.
