Time Out says
Robert Lindsay and Meghan Mullally star in a big 2021 revival for the classic Cole Porter musical
The Barbican’s usually lively programme of international touring appears unlikely to resume anytime soon following the well-documented events of 2020, but things are hopefully getting back on their feet enough to pull off this lengthy 15-week Barbican run for classic Cole Porter musical ‘Anything Goes’, with stars Robert Lindsay and Megan Mullalley – aka Karen from ‘Will & Grace’ – heading up the cast as Moonface Martin and Reno Sweeney.
With a book by PG Wodehouse, the musical follows sundry romantic shenanigans at sea by two unlikely couple, and more importantly contains classic standards such as ‘I Get A Kick Out of You’, ‘Anything Goes’, ‘It’s De-Lovely’ and, indeed, many more. It’s directed and choreographed by Kathleen Marshall, in a reimagining of her 2011 Broadway revival.
