Everyone's welcome at this warm, inclusive North London theatre
Chickenshed was founded in 1974, on the premise that the performing arts belong to everyone who wants to join in. This North London theatre's inclusive policy has attracted a loyal fanbase of all ages, who attend a year-round programme of theatre, kids shows, live music, and community events.
Performances are held in one of four spaces including, in summer, an outdoor amphitheatre. Chickenshed is especially good at catering to the young 'uns with a full programme of childrens theatre shows. 'Tales from the Shed' (Friday and Saturday morning) is aimed at under-sevens, bringing stories, both original and traditional, to life.

Been to some brilliant jazz evenings here - top class acts at a fraction of the cost of the Westend. Also tried their drama workshops - great fun, taught by lovely, professional and patient(!) staff. Great place to drop in for a coffee, too (the cafe/restuarant is open all day). Very relaxed, friendly atmosphere.
