The Cyr wheel is basically a giant - and much more dangerous - hula hoop, which performers use to spin and whirl their whole bodies across the stage. In 'Santa Madera', Juan Ignacio Tula and Stefan Kinsman use Cyr wheels to conjure up the fierce energy of indigenous South American rituals, in a performance that's full of tension and excitement.
