The blues and shadow play is used in this contemporary re-working of Euripides' ancient tragedy translated by John Davie.
Not sure what the Director had in mind when they set this Greek Tragedy in the 1940's. Orestes is played by a really refreshing new Actor Adam Silverstone , very charismatic and watchable .... the head of Chorus Monty Leigh shows off a terrific voice (reminicent of Amy Winehouse ) in spite of 'unsingable' words. Actors are all enthusiastic, likeable and watchable though lead lady role could maybe have been 'trimmed' a little as soliloquys became a little monotonous. What you would expect of a Greek Tragedy I suppose.
