Caryl Churchill’s astonishing late play about a group of older women chitchatting about nothing much while strange, apocalyptic, euphoric moments intrude on the action was probably the highlight of Vicky Featherstone’s Royal Court tenure – it had two runs there in the mid-’10s. But this revival from Italian companies Piccolo Teatro and lacasadargilla is our first opportunity to see the play in a decade, in a wild Italian language production (with English surtitles).
