Time Out says

Sarah Travis and Richard Stirling’s new musical adaptation of the 1928 comic novel by Compton Mackenzie about the beautiful Rosalba who turns up on the Mediterranean island of Sirene at the end of World War One with her lover Aurora in tow. But then a load of other women show up, complicating matters. Mackenzie’s source novel is a curious affair that functions as a satire on the idea of lesbianism, as much as anything. Whether that’s quite the vibe Paul Foster’s 2025 adaptation is going for it TBC.
