This ‘girl power musical’ mixes the scrappy charm of a touring show with the pedigree of its writers, playwright Chris Bush and songwriters Miranda Cooper (Girls Aloud; Kylie Minogue) and Jennifer Decilveo (Miley Cyrus). Directed by Amy Hodge, ‘Fantastically Great Women who Changed the World’ is basically a cheerful romp through the lives of various inspirational women including Frida Kahlo, Marie Curie and more – not least Emmeline Pankhurst, whose descendent Kate Pankhurst wrote the book the show is adapted from. It received dynamite notices on tour, and has a couple of London engagements: a short one in Kingston in April, and a longer one at Theatre Royal Stratford East in the summer.
