London finally gets a look at auteur French director Philippe Quesne’s widescreen postapocalyptic absurdist comedy in which a group of five poet scarecrows – rendered obsolete by the climate crisis – band together in a commune to launch an eccentric independant radio station. It’s a pretty absurdist concept but it’s well worth making the trip to catch one of the very limited dates for this wildly singular piece from a director whose work is almost never seen on these shores.
