Don Black is never quite going to be a household name but his songs certainly are: as a musical theatre lyricist he’s known for his Andrew Lloyd Webber collaborations Tell Me On a Sunday, Aspects of Love and Sunset Boulevard but his place in history is assured by the five classic Bond themes he co-wrote with John Barry. This returning revue is a celebration of his life and works, with a mix of greatest hits and new work – co-written with the likes of Gary Barlow – that pay tribute to the New York cabaret scene that first inspired him.
