Richard Eyre’s sleekly devastating adaptation of Henrik Ibsen’s Ghosts gave the Almeida Theatre its last big hit of the pre-Rupert Goold era and now it gets its first major revival in this production from Jermyn Street deputy Kwame Owusu. Oliver Alvin-Wilson, Cecilia Appiah, Peter F Gardiner, Flora Montgomery and Joe Pitts star in Ibsen’s bleak tale of faith, morality and a family gripped by a secret so shameful the original production caused a scandal.
