'Hamlet' returns to the history-soaked ruins of Elizabethan theatre The Rose for the first time since 1594 in Martin Parr's intimate and fast-paced chamber production (the run time's just an hour and a half). Starring Jonathan Broadbent (a nerdy Oberon last year in Filter's 'A Midsummer Night's Dream) as the troubled prince, and Suzanne Marie as both Ophelia and Gertrude, it follows Parr's production of 'Romeo and Juliet' here last year and promises to utilise the archeological atmosphere of urban decay.
