Hansel and Gretel

Opera at Home presents a single performance of Englebert Humperdinck's fairytale opera, based on the tale of the lost siblings by the Brothers Grimm. The performance includes an original arrangement for chamber ensemble. Sung in David Poutney's English translation, except for the magical creatures (such as the Sandman) singing in the original German. Directed by Jose Gandia; the costume designer is Esengul Sassi.
