Co-Operative Opera presents Engelbert Humperdinck's charming fairytale opera based on the Brothers Grimm story of the children who get lost in the forest and seek shelter at a witch's house. James Bonas directs Susanne Holmes (Hansel), Llio Evans (Gretel), Shuna Sendell/Carris Jones (Mother/Witch) and Rahel Moore (Sandman/Dewfairy). Stephen Higgins conducts the Co-Operative Orchestra. (English translation by David Poutney.)
