Taking its name from one particuallry cringe-inducing utterance of David Cameron’s during the 2015 election campaign that got us into our current mess, ‘Hell Yes I’m Tough Enough’ by Ben Alderton is a tongue-in-cheek satire on British politics in which party leaders Ned Contraband and David Carter duke it out for leadership of our sceptered isle. The publicity material does make it look like a send-up of 2015, which feels like such a long time ago now that it’ll be intriguing to see how relevant the play feels in our current, endless pre-Brexit state.
