Playwright Bryony Lavery is best known for her harrowing 1998 drama 'Frozen', but rest assured, she has a silly side. Hope Theatre has uncovered 'Her Aching Heart', a musical Mills & Boon parody that's full of gothic twists and sapphic tomfoolery.
It's a historical romance scattered with torch songs by Ian Brandon, and directed by Hope Theatre boss Matthew Parker.
