A six-hour, overnight epic from London and Brazil-based directors Persis-Jade Maravala and Zecora Ura, 'Hotel Medea' is split into three parts, telling the story of Jason and the Argonauts through a mixture of dance, music, media and audience participation. In the first, the audience explores a brilliant fantasy marketplace, before witnessing the meeting and marriage of Jason and Medea – all soundtracked by a DJ. Over the next two parts, we become ever more involved in the story, posing for photos with Jason, and being 'put to bed' in Medea's room. It's a tad contrived, but the brilliance of Medea is that for those six hours, their world becomes your world.
