David Eldridge’s brilliant drama about the Tory working class in his home county of Essex was a major critical hit for the Royal Court back in 2012 – and now it finally recieves an actual Essex production, launching the Queen’s Theatre Hornchurch’s Essex On Stage season. It’s set at the rancorous wake of the late Len, and explores the motivations of the East End working class as we meet a family bitterly divided by a decades-old grudge. Lucy Benjamin stars.
