It is now my partner and myself's Christmas tradition to go to the Brockley Jack Theatre show every year, and it always astounds and thrills with the inventive, outstanding productions it somehow creates. The writer's workshops nurture new talent and as a community we are incredibly lucky to have such a brilliant facility on our doorstep. All that at excellent prices too! I could not adore the Brockley Jack Theatre more; everyone should go!
It is warm friendly welcoming and flexible theatre space that ALWAYS puts on intriguing, moving and worthwhile theatrical experiences
Lovely intimate theatre 5 minutes from home with pub attached showing quality plays - what's not to like?!
Great space, only 50 seats so feels excitingly close, amazing plays and you can bring in your pint. Love it!
I live in Forest Hill and since I discovered this amazing gem of a little theatre two years ago myself and my family have enjoyed some fantastic plays. Generally speaking we see at least one play a month and have yet to have seen anything that disappointed us. Fantastic acting and sets and direction and sound etc etc...and all for £14 or less if you are a young person :)
Attended a couple of writers workshops here. Wonderful, friendly and supportive environment and learned a lot. The theatre space is just about the smallest I have seen- which must make it a very intimate setting for a play. I must come back soon to see one of the shows (some good things coming up!) and experience how this small space works. The Brockley Jack pub next door is an impressive and comfortable place but disappointingly on my visit during Saturday lunch time, the wait for food was 40+ minutes as a private party was in, so I had to go hungry - as did many others. Inexcusable. But they do serve good coffee.
