Although it seems unlikely that we’ll be getting any more proper stage roles from Dame Judi Dench, this ‘in conversation’ evening between her and pal Gyles Brandreth has been kicking about for a few years and seems to have plenty of mileage: it’s now back in a special Christmas edition.
The first half will be the usual Q&A-style discussion of Dench’s career, while something a little different is planned for the second half: we’re promised ‘a fun-packed Christmas Party with a star-studded cast of imaginary guests and the Christmas presents they have (or haven’t) brought, as well as some seasonal party pieces from Judi and Gyles.’ Whatever this in fact entails, it’ll doubtless be a festive treat for any self-respecting Denchophile.
