Garden Opera makes a rare visit indoors to reprise its 2010 production of Verdi's popular tale of lonely Violetta's transformation from hedonistic courtesan into tragic heroine. Set in a morally ambiguous 1930s Paris, the production features stark design and haute couture costumes, not to mention an exquisite score. With Claire Surman (Violetta), Chris Diffey (Alfredo), Robert Presley (Germont), Alexander Anderson-Hall (Gaston), Siân Jones Flora (Annina). The pianist Peter Bridges directs a sextet. Directed by Saffron Van Zwanenberg.
