Laurent Pelly directs a new production of a pair of Ravel shorts. 'L'heure espagnole' tells of a clockmaker's wife, Concepción, who devises complex conceits to conceal the visits of her paramours. Then, in 'L'enfant et les sortilèges' a bad-tempered child is rebuked by his abused toys. Cast includes Stéphanie d'Oustrac, Elliot Madore, François Piolino, Khatouna Gadelia, Elodie Méchain, Alek Shrader and Paul Gray. Kazushi Ono conducts the London Phiharmonic Orchestra and Glyndebourne Chorus. (Sung in French with English surtitles.)
