One, set in the 1950s, follows Alexander Fleming, the discover of penicillin as his heart of torn over his Greek scientists resistance fighter love Amalia Voureka; the other, set in present day Edinburgh, concerns a junior doctor whose childhood sweetheart is rushed to her hospital. The show – which has been performed at the United Nations! – stars a chorus of real-life nurses, doctors, vets, dentists and scientists alongside a professional main cast.
