Liv Ello has somewhat made their name as director of Frankie Thompson’s out there 2022 Edinburgh Fringe hit ‘Catts’. Ello’s own show ‘Swarm’ ran in the same theatre and didn’t get as much attention, but in the wake of ‘Catts’s success, ‘Swarm’ got good notices on a London run last autumn, a blend of clowning, theatre and video in which Ello plays a series of flies, in a dark satire on the dehumanising language of successive Tory governments.
