Fêted Aussie director Simon Stone – he did the hit Billie Piper version of ‘Yerma’ – returns in cahoots with International Theater Amsterdam for a short, sharp, contemporary rewrite of Euripides’s devastating ‘Medea’. This time, the action is set in a mental hospital, in which our heroine is involutarily confined. Marieke Heebink plays the title role, which she won prestigious Dutch acting award the Theo d’Or for.
