Men’s Business

A bit of a coup for the Finborough here as it bags the UK premiere of star playwright Simon Stephens’s adaptation of veteran German playwright Franz Xavier Kroetz’s 1972 drama Mannersache (which transfers here after its world premiere in Ireland). Conceivably the Finborough has bagged it due to the relative obscurity of the original play and playwright in this country, but it’s pretty good going nonetheless. A surreal love story set in the back room of a butcher’s shop, Men’s Business is directed by Ross Gaynor and stars Rex Ryan, Lauren Farrell and Cooper (a dog).
