The only thing that's 'muted' about this lively new rock musical is its title character, who's left unable to speak after his mother dies in a car accident. It's a riff on a time-honoured 'getting the band back together' storyline by playwright Sarah Henley, with rock songs and lyrics by Tim Prottey-Jones and Tori Allen-Martin.
