As far as studio spaces go, the National Theatre’s Cottesloe is up there with the best. Flexibly arranged over three levels (and with room for 300) it’s a spacious mini-venue made for the National Theatre’s more challenging productions. Small casts are typical, but you might also catch more ambitious stagings such as 2008’s acclaimed ‘Gethsemane’ by David Hare that starred Tamsin Greig.
