A trio of heavyweight playwrights – Moira Buffini, Suhayla El-Bushra and Roy Williams – chip in with a short play apiece to this north west London-set trilogy. Buffini’s ‘Dance Floor’ concerns a homesick Irish woman; Williams’s ‘Life of Riley’ is about a girl looking to reconnect with her estranged musician father; and El-Bushra’s ‘Waking/Walking’ is a historical drama about the expulsion of Uganda’s Asian population, and follows a recent arrival from the country as she mulls taking a public stand over the issue in the UK. The three plays are directed by Taio Lawson and Susie McKenna.
