Never been to the opera? Been, but want to know more? Looking for Easter holiday activities for the kids that you will also enjoy? After performances to over 25,000 children in schools, English Pocket Opera Company presents 'Opera Blocks', a show suitable for all the family (four years and over). It is interactive, lasts 75 mins, and uses excerpts from over 20 operas. In three parts, it unpacks the 'building blocks' of opera (music, libretto, arias, duets, trios, quartets, etc), contains a 'pocket' sing-a-long 'Carmen' using children as the main characters; and an unscripted 15-minute opera improvised on suggestions from the audience. Performed by singers Olivia Ray/Louise Mott and Dominic Barrand/Paul Featherstone, with Steven Neugarten on piano.
