Penthesilea

Vampires are all the rage at the moment, but this play by Heinrich von Kleist was written over two hundred years ago. Technically the lead character, who kills and eats her lover isn't a vampire, but there's sure to be rather a lot of gore in Playades theatre company's production. The play was banned for almost a century, and is now revived in a new translation by Joel Agee.
