Australia's Malthouse Theatre and Black Swan State Theatre Company call in at the Barbican with this stage adaptation of the cult novel – later made into a film – about three schoolgirls and their teacher who inexplicably vanish after taking a picnic one summer's day in 1900. A cast of female narrators recount the hysteria the grips the community in the wake of their disappearence.
