Socially distanced outdoor fringe production of the oddball Broadway classic
The Eagle pub in Vauxhall has very much risen to the challenge of the social distancing era by opening The Garden Theatre, an outdoor venue that’s thus far staged an impressively ambitious couple of musicals. ‘Pippin’ is Stephen Schwartz’s slightly batshit 1972 musical about a naive young prince learning lessons about war, love, fame and whatnot. Steven Dexter’s ambitious fringe production is performed by a plucky cast of six.
