It’s been a rocky couple of years for the RVT: at one point it looked like it might be shutting its storied doors for good thanks to the pandemic, and its 2020 adult panto was cancelled after just a few performances. But now it’s back! ‘Pricked’ is a spin on the tale of Sleeping Beauty, and follows the adventures of a sex-crazed princess, an over-privileged prince, and a raven with identity issues, plus insecure villainess Maleffluent. Grant Cartwright, Jospeh Pollard, Lucy Penrose, Chantelle St Clair and Charlie Wood star in Tim McArthur’s production, which is written by Tim Benzie and Paul Joseph, with musical direction by Aaron Clingham.
