It's not open just yet, but the Red Crate is the new stage proposed by Theatre Royal Stratford East. Situated just outside TRSE, this 220-seater eco-theatre makes up the burgeoning cultural quarter, which also features Stratford Picturehouse and Stratford Circus. The building itself will be a sister structure to the National Theatre's temporary space, and will look the same. It's not built just yet, though, and if all goes to plan the building will open in 2015 for an intended period of ten years.
