Time Out says

The award-winning young Russian director/designer Dmitri Tcherniakov makes his ENO debut with Verdi's tale of public feuds and private griefs, set against a backdrop of civil war. His production, which launches a new partnership between the ENO and the Bayerische Staatsoper, Munich, stars baritone Bruno Caproni in the title-role of the privateer-turned-politician, with Brindley Sherratt as Fiesco, the implacable foe who discovers, too late, the bonds of love that bind them. Edward Gardner conducts.
