The Elixir of Love

Jonathan Miller's 2010 take on Donizetti's bittersweet rural romance, set in and around a 1950s American diner returns with a fresh cast. Sarah Tynan sings the role of the adorable waitress Adina; with tenor Ben Johnson as Nemorino, the lovestruck, nerdy grease-monkey, and baritone Benedict Nelson as Belcore, the gum-chewing GI , who both vie for her affections. Plus, Andrew Shore returns in style as Dulcamara, the slick love-potion salesman. The conductor is Rory MacDonald.
