The Frogs

Although it’s made it all the way to Broadway, this oddity from the late, great Stephen Sondheim has remained a distinctly fringey affair over here – it was last seen in 2017 at the tiny Jermyn Street Theatre and now it’s back in a slightly bigger theatre as erstwhile Glee star Kevin McHale plays Xanthius, the sidekick to Dan Buckley’s Dionysus, who sends his minion out to retrieve the shades of Shaw and Shakespeare in an effort to restore an ailing world.
