This new gothic opera twists Ancient Greek mythology into the First World War as two sisters try to make sense of the carnage spreading across Europe.
It is 1916. Two abandoned sisters live in isolation in rural Suffolk amidst reports of the devastation of The Battle Of The Somme. One of the sisters appears to have gone mad, claiming the gods of Ancient Greece are returning to the earth to cleanse it of man's failures, while the other sister refuses to believe her. However, both of them have seen strange figures among the trees...
