Time Out says

Writers and artists celebrate the Young Vic’s fiftieth birthday by imagining what the next 50 years will be like

After the long wait of lockdown, the Young Vic will fling open its doors to celebrate its fiftieth birthday with ‘The New Tomorrow’, a weekend of new work imagining what the next 50 years might hold. Writers and artists including Jade Anouka, Marina Carr, Jasmine Lee-Jones, Ruth Madeley, Amy Ng, Stef Smith, Jack Thorne, Isobel Waller-Bridge and Steve Waters will all contribute to the weekender, which we’re guessing will have a pretty stellar line-up of performers. It will be streamed live online, but there will be a chance to enter a special lottery and watch it IRL – more details on this to come. It’s not quite the same as the Young Vic getting back to normal. But it’s a promising start, and a well-deserved celebration.
