Charles Court Opera (in association with King's Head Theatre) presents one of Gilbert & Sullivan's best-loved comedies. Featuring a band of tender-hearted pirates, their naïve apprentice Frederic, the very model of a modern Major-General, and a policeman whose lot is not a happy one. Director John Savournin sets his inventive new production in an imaginative child's bedroom, with a cast of ten singers accompanied by a spritely piano-four-hands version of the orchestral score by the talented Eaton-Young Piano Duo.
