Wonderfully accomplished production. Beautifully adapted Restoration comedy to a 20s setting with very modern themes. Fantastic performances, smoothly directed with clever set and great music. A very funny evening.

Cracking production - pitched exactly right for a modern audience, well acted and produced, excellent set. Both cast and backstage made an excellent team. We thoroughly enjoyed it!

If you love your Restoration Comedy then get down to the Greenwich PLayhouse where Perfect Mayhem's production of Sir John Vanbrugh's 'The Provoked Wife' has been given a bit of 1920's flair and sophistry by director Joss Bennathan. The evocative and simple set, a talented cast and a play which zips along at a fair pace all help this production to fly. The cast work the small stage fantastically and the scenes neatly blend in together with intricate 'dances' that allow them to move the set and the story on. The whole cast are a joy to watch and the 1920's setting works very well with a piece written in 1697. Get down to Greenwich and see this wonderful production which runs until 6th November.
