West London's new writing powerhouse theatre heads out and about again this summer, with a brand new and intriguing initiative in Pimlico. The Royal Court Market Stall opens amid the usual market stalls (fruit, veg, you know the thing) on Tachbrook Street from 28 May and will be there every Thursday and Friday until the end of August. Instead of your usual food, drink and knick-knacks, the Royal Court will be peddling plays. Between 10am and 3pm there will be 'Pimlico Playground' a series of new audio plays by the likes of Diana Nneka Atuona, Josh Azouz and Olivia Hirst. Location-based and short enough to fit into a lunch break, the plays are on an MP3 player that you take on a journey with a map. Also featured is 'The Espresso Plays' where five-minute plays are written on the spot created from ideas suggested by the stall's visitors.
